The Town of Pike Road is bringing history, creativity, and community spirit directly into neighborhoods this July with the launch of its America250 Rolling Mural Tour.
The America 250 mural, unveiled during Pike Road’s SummerFest celebration, is already a meaningful piece of local history. Residents attending the event had the unique opportunity to be the first to leave their mark—literally—by signing their names on the large, traveling mural. Now, that same mural is hitting the road, giving more members of the community a chance to participate in this once-in-a-generation celebration of America’s 250th birthday.
The Community Mural Town Tour officially begins Monday, July 13, with its first stop at Town Hall from 5 – 7 p.m. From there, the mural will travel throughout Pike Road, making appearances in neighborhoods and community spaces across town.
Scheduled stops include:
- July 13: Town Hall, 5 – 7 p.m.
- July 15: Boykin Lakes, 5 – 7 p.m.
- July 17: Stone Park, 5 – 7 p.m.
- July 20: The Waters, 5 – 7 p.m.
- July 21: PRS Performing Arts Center, 5 – 7 p.m.
- July 23: Woodland Creek, 4 – 6 p.m.; The Villages, 6:15 – 7:15 p.m.
- July 28: Rolling Hills, 5 – 7 p.m.
- July 30: Bridle Brook Farms, 5 – 7 p.m.
- July 31: Children’s Depot Playground at Veterans Park, 5 – 7 p.m.
At each stop, residents are invited to come out, connect with neighbors, and add their signature to the mural—creating a lasting tribute that reflects the people and pride of Pike Road.
Town leaders encourage everyone to stay tuned for updates as additional stops may be added throughout the month. Residents who would like to see the mural visit their neighborhood are invited to reach out, as the Town will do its best to include as many communities as possible.
As the mural travels from one neighborhood to the next, it serves as more than just a work of art—it becomes a shared story of Pike Road, told one signature at a time.
