The Pike Road Town Council took up a rezoning request Monday that could potentially bring a new neighborhood geared towards senior living.
The 100-acre land is located on Wallahatchie Road near Mockingbird Lane.
The developer is asking the town council to rezone the property from SmartCode to R-5.
Mayor Gordon Stone says while no formal presentation has been made yet, the preliminary documents illustrate the use for a 55+ community.
