The Town of Pike Road P.R.A.Y.E.R (Pike Road Area Your Emergency Response) Team is making a meaningful impact by launching a Summer Feeding Program from June 7 to July 26. This essential program has been designed to provide weekly food packages, at no cost, to all eligible households in Pike Road with children 18 years of age or younger.
Households automatically qualify for the Summer Feeding Program if their annual income falls below the poverty income guidelines, or if they are facing financial hardships (without the need for proof of income), or if they participate in programs such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Programs (SNAP), Benefits under the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), or Supplemental Security Insurance (SSI).
To benefit from this initiative, participants are required to furnish proof of residence in the Town of Pike Road (e.g., utility bill, rental agreement/lease/mortgage) and proof of receiving benefits from qualifying programs such as Disability, SNAP, SSI, WIC, AFDC, TANF.
The distribution of food packages will take place at Woodland Methodist Church (4428 Wallahatchie Road, Pike Road, AL 36064) every Saturday from 9 – 11 a.m, excluding July 5th. In addition to this central location, mobile distribution will also be available at select sites including Freeport, Stone Park, Living Water Family Life Ministry, and Pike Road Village.
