The Pike Road Lions Club has donated $3,000 to support the Town of Pike Road’s recycling program, reinforcing the club’s commitment to community service and environmental stewardship.
On behalf of the Pike Road Lions Club, Club Treasurer Ray Kyzer recently presented the check to Town Clerk Lisa Burke and the Town of Pike Road. The contribution will help support and sustain local recycling efforts while encouraging environmentally responsible practices throughout the community.
The donation reflects the Lions Club’s dedication to protecting and improving the places where its members live and serve. In addition to supporting the town’s recycling program, the club participates in monthly Adopt-A-Mile cleanups and assists with Leo Club recycling initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship.
The $3,000 donation was made possible through several successful fundraising events hosted by the Pike Road Lions Club throughout the year. Proceeds from the club’s annual yard sale, pork sale, and parking fundraiser at the Mark’s House during the Pike Road Arts & Crafts Festival all contributed to the gift.
