The Town of Pike Road is continuing its annual tradition of honoring service members through the Veterans Walk of Honor, a program that allows residents to recognize the service and sacrifice of a veteran with a personalized, engraved brick at the Town’s Veterans Memorial in Veterans Park.
The engraved bricks are installed along the pathway leading to the memorial at Veterans Park, 4902 Pike Road, creating a permanent tribute that grows each year and brings the community together to reflect on the freedoms veterans helped protect.
“In the month of November, every year, we have such a unique celebration of Veterans Day,” Mayor Gordon Stone said. “It is a special time out at our Veterans Memorial, but before we get to there, right now is the time for you to consider, is there a veteran that you know that you would love to honor?”
Stone encouraged residents to participate by purchasing a brick in recognition of a loved one, a fellow service member, or veterans from earlier generations. “With our veterans walk, our brick walk, there at the Veterans Memorial, it is a tremendous place for you to lay down a foundational brick and recognize that person or those people that you know have sacrificed and given on behalf of our wonderful nation, and the freedoms that we all enjoy,” he said.

- Deadline: 12 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, for inclusion in the November 2026 dedication.

- Inscription: Up to three lines of text; a maximum of 20 characters per line (including spaces).

Each November, the bricks are dedicated at the Annual Veterans Appreciation Ceremony, offering a moment of reflection and gratitude for veterans and their families. Veterans Park—located in the historic town center near the intersection of Pike and Meriwether Roads—is home to the Pike Road Veterans Memorial and Walk of Honor, a setting the Town hopes residents will find welcomes community, reflection, and appreciation.
