Coffee lovers and community members alike have something exciting to look forward to as Pike Road Coffee prepares to officially open its doors in less than a month. Owner Karen Lipscomb shared details about the highly anticipated grand opening, scheduled for early October after a few construction delays.
A Menu Crafted for Every Taste
Pike Road Coffee promises an extensive and thoughtfully crafted menu designed to satisfy both traditional coffee enthusiasts and those seeking unique beverage experiences.
The coffee bar will feature a full range of espresso-based drinks, including lattes and cappuccinos served hot or iced, alongside signature lattes and a selection of coffee sodas — innovative beverages based on Pike Road’s cold brew. Non-coffee drinkers can also enjoy a variety of handcrafted sodas and refreshing lemonades.
For dessert lovers, the café boasts a gelato machine capable of producing indulgent coffee floats and affogatos — a decadent treat made by pouring a shot of espresso over a scoop of gelato.
“We’ll have a full coffee bar with like all your espresso-based drinks… some signature lattes… some coffee sodas, which are interesting and delicious based on cold brew drinks… some non-coffee drinks for non-coffee drinkers such as handcrafted sodas and lemonade,” Lipscomb explained enthusiastically.
Fresh, Made-From-Scratch Food Offerings
Beyond beverages, Pike Road Coffee will serve a full menu of breakfast, lunch, and brunch items prepared fresh daily. The kitchen will operate from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering homemade breads, salads, soups, and sandwiches, all crafted from scratch and designed for both dine-in and grab-and-go convenience.
The coffee shop will remain open until 5 p.m., with additional bakery case items and quick bites for customers.
An Inviting and Retro-Inspired Atmosphere
“We have the upstairs space, has like some couches and more of a loungy vibe with some old pinball machines, some new and some old, arcade. We’ll have a record player up there with records and it’ll just kind of be like a retro arcade, we’ll call it,” Lipscomb said.
Downstairs offers a more traditional dining room and bar area, while outside, a large deck will be the perfect spot for live music and gatherings.
Lipscomb shared, We’ve got a big deck with space for live music, and we have a great band planned for the 20th. I think it’ll be a very inviting place for people to come and stay and not feel rushed.”
Coffee Roastery and Merchandise
Adding to the authentic coffee experience is Pike Road Coffee’s in-house roastery.
“Our coffee roastery will be really cool because there’s a big glass window there so you can watch how the coffee gets roasted and goes from green coffee beans to what everyone else is familiar with the nice brown rich color,” Lipscomb shared.
Bags of locally roasted coffee will be available for purchase in-store, with an upcoming online shop to serve customers beyond the physical location.
