New Pike Road Schools Central Office Allows for Growth and Expansion

by Pike Road News

As Pike Road Schools (PRS) has expanded since its establishment in 2014, it has recently taken a significant step towards enhancing its central office. In a strategic move, PRS has acquired the old Buckmasters building on Highway 80 in Montgomery to establish it as the new permanent central office.

The acquisition of the Buckmasters building marks a pivotal step in PRS’s journey, as it signifies the school system’s commitment to having a permanent location for the PRS central office. Since the purchase in early 2024, extensive renovations and construction efforts have been underway to repurpose the building into the PRS central office that aligns with the system’s vision for the future.

The construction process has been progressing steadily, and PRS hopes to complete the transformation and relocate to the new central office during the first quarter of 2025. Although a specific move-in and opening date have not been announced, the anticipation among the PRS central office staff will enable them to continue growing in order to support the PRS schools effectively.

The PRS central office is currently located within Saint James United Methodist Church, where the school system has leased a space since June 2021. The move to Saint James Church became necessary after the previous central office located within the PRS High School Georgia Washington Campus had to be vacated due to the school’s rapid growth.
