Macon East Academy’s varsity football team capped a storybook season with a 34–14 victory over Escambia to win the AISA Class 1A State Championship, finishing a perfect 13–0 and etching an undefeated run into school history.
Fueled by senior leadership from Sam Wallace, Elliot Fitch, Will Hasson, and Cole Streetman, the Knights balanced grit and poise all year, delivering in big moments and closing strong on championship day. Their title-clinching win showcased the team’s identity—tough defense, timely playmaking, and a togetherness that defined the entire fall.
“As a whole, I am super proud of our athletic department and the way our kids compete,” said Athletic Director Coach Codi Berry. “There’s nothing quite like a small school environment and Macon East is the best around.”
The postseason accolades keep coming for the Knights as well. Seniors Sam Wallace, Cole Streetman, and Will Hasson earned All-Star recognition and recently competed in the AISA All-Star football game, with Coach Lott also on the sideline representing Macon East.
From preseason workouts to championship night, Macon East’s 2025 campaign will be remembered for excellence, leadership, and community pride—13 wins, zero losses, and one shining trophy to show for it.
