The Pike Road Patriots were in Alex City last year battling Benjamin Russell in the quarterfinals of the 6A state playoffs. How did they win? With a last second field goal that sent them to play Saraland in the semifinals. Friday’s game? It was the exact same thing as last year. And now, the Patriots will play host to Saraland in the semifinals.
