In a heartwarming initiative to support students in foster care, CB&S Bank has joined forces with Kids To Love’s More Than A Backpack campaign to collect back-to-school supplies at all of their 55 locations including their branch right here in Pike Road. The deadline to turn in supplies is Friday, July 25th.
With the school year fast approaching, the bank is gearing up to collect essential supplies to ensure children in foster care have everything they need to start the new academic year on the right foot.
Kids To Love recognizes the significance of a new backpack for children in foster care and their More Than A Backpack campaign, with help from CB&S Bank and folks like you, will fill nearly 6,000 backpacks for children across Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee! Many of these children enter the system without personal belongings and by providing them with a backpack and necessary school supplies, these students are given a sense of dignity and permanence. This simple gesture allows them to focus on their education, without worrying about their basic necessities.
CB&S Bank Pike Road is calling on the community to join their efforts in supporting area students by donating items such as backpacks, three-ring binders, notebooks, pencils, markers, calculators, and more. Those interested in contributing may drop off donations at CB&S Bank Pike Road branch – just look for the large Kids To Love box in the lobby.
