ALDOT Announces Nightly Lane Closures for Pike Road Roundabout Project Starting September 2

by Pike Road News

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will begin temporary lane closures at the I-85/SR-126/US-80 intersection as part of the Pike Road roundabout project. The lane closures are scheduled to begin Tuesday, September 2, and will occur nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for approximately three nights.

These lane closures are necessary to advance construction activities that will improve traffic flow and safety in the area. While access to and from Interstate 85 will remain open throughout the project, drivers should anticipate delays and are encouraged to seek alternate routes when possible.

Travelers are strongly advised to obey posted speed limits and stay alert for workers and equipment in the work zone to ensure everyone’s safety.

For convenient, real-time traffic updates during the construction period, residents and commuters can download the ALGO Traffic app or visit ALGOTraffic online at here.

ALDOT appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation as these important improvements are underway.
