Woodland Methodist Church will welcome nationally recognized motivational speaker Willie Spears for “Game Changer,” a special Celebration of Youth for high school juniors and seniors throughout the Pike Road community on Oct. 8.
Built around the message “One Night. One Message. One Decision Could Change Everything,” the event will give local students an opportunity to enjoy a free dinner, connect with their peers and hear an encouraging message about their ability to make a difference.
Spears spent more than 20 years serving as a teacher, coach and school administrator before becoming one of the nation’s most sought-after motivational speakers. Today, he speaks to schools, universities, businesses, athletic teams, churches and leadership organizations across the country.
While Spears brings extensive experience in education and leadership to the stage, organizers say audiences most remember his ability to make people laugh, think and leave believing they can create positive change in their lives and communities.
Woodland Methodist Church is inviting all local juniors and seniors to attend the Oct. 8 event, whether individually or as part of a group. There is no cost to participate, and dinner will be provided free of charge.
Reservations are required so organizers can obtain an accurate headcount for the meal. Students, families and groups may reserve their places by emailing woodlandministry7@gmail.com.
