Century Church will welcome neighbors for an evening of chef-driven dining, live music, and a silent auction at A Night Under the Stars on Sunday, June 1, from 7:00–9:30 PM. The adults-only (21+) fundraiser will be held outdoors at Century Church, 1001 Marler Road, with all proceeds supporting the church’s planned Community Missions Building.
Billed as a relaxed yet refined Southern affair, the event will feature a five-plus course, seasonal menu prepared by a collaborative team of regional chefs and restaurant leaders, including talent from Central, Cork & Cleaver, Local on Dexter, The Hound, Pike Road Coffee, Sushi Fresh, and Locos Taqueria. Guests will dine al fresco while hearing stories about the vision for the new space, designed to serve, equip, and send volunteers to meet practical needs locally and beyond.
“A Night Under the Stars is more than just a dinner—it’s an opportunity for our community to come together around the table and invest in something that will serve generations to come,” said Rev. Dr. Patrick Quinn, Century Church Lead Pastor. “We are honored to partner with such incredible local chefs and businesses to make this vision a reality.”
The curated menu highlights Southern flavors and locally inspired ingredients. Courses include:
- Before Dinner: hors d’oeuvres and drinks
- The Welcome: chilled sweet pea and buttermilk soup
- The Garden: heirloom tomato and charred okra stack with whipped goat cheese, toasted pecans, and cane syrup vinaigrette
- The River: fried Alabama catfish with Hickory Grove Farms stone-ground Gouda grits, collard greens, okra chips, and hot sauce béchamel
- The Field: peach-bourbon braised short rib with sweet corn purée, blistered shishito peppers, and pickled red onion
- The Benediction: wild blackberry and peach galette with hand-folded pastry and Chantilly cream
