Families across the Pike Road community are invited to lace up their running shoes this spring for a morning of exercise, community spirit, and family-friendly fun at the 6th Annual 2026 Pike Road Family Fun Run.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026, at The Waters Town Square, located at 200 Waters View Drive in Pike Road. Organized by the Kiwanis Club of Pike Road, the annual event encourages residents of all ages and fitness levels to participate in a relaxed and welcoming community run.
Now in its sixth year, the Family Fun Run has become a popular local tradition designed to bring families together while promoting healthy activity and community involvement. Participants can choose to run or walk the 5K course, which will follow a marked route through the streets of The Waters community.
Unlike competitive races, the event is intentionally designed to be untimed, creating a low-pressure environment that welcomes everyone from experienced runners to parents pushing strollers and children participating in their first community race.
Race-day activities will begin with registration opening at 7 a.m., followed by the official start of the Fun Run at 8 a.m. Participants can register in advance or sign up on-site the morning of the event. Organizers note that those registering close to race day may receive their commemorative event T-shirt after the race if supplies run out at the event.
Registration categories include adult and youth runners or walkers, as well as group participation options, allowing families, friends, and community teams to take part together.
Beyond the run itself, the event serves as a community gathering that highlights Pike Road’s focus on active living and family-friendly events. Organizers encourage residents to come out, participate at their own pace, and enjoy a spring morning outdoors with neighbors and friends.
