The Pike Road Baseball program will host a Youth Winter Baseball Camp on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Pike Road High School Baseball Field and surrounding fields. The afternoon clinic is open to current 1st through 6th graders from across the Montgomery/Pike Road area.
Campers will rotate through stations focused on fundamentals in throwing, fielding, hitting, and pitching, with participants grouped by age to ensure age-appropriate instruction. The cost is $50 per participant.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a water bottle and a small amount of money for snacks, which will be available for purchase during a scheduled break.
“Hosting a Youth Camp is important for our program,” said Caleb Brooks, Head Baseball Coach at Pike Road High School. “Not only for the opportunity to work with our youth around the Pike Road area and help them improve, but also because it gives our players and coaches an opportunity to be around the younger guys and build a relationship with those kids.”
Brooks continued sharing, “That way, when these youth players come to watch us play, they know the players and can relate to them, and who is out there on the field for our program.”
Brooks reflected on his childhood, when he attended a baseball camp in Alexander City. He shared, “The opportunity to create relationships with the high school players and see them created an even greater desire to be a part of the high school baseball program one day and be in their shoes.”
“I am hoping that by having this camp consistently, we can create the same type of feelings and desires with the youth around our area to one day be a Pike Road Baseball Player,” said Brooks.
