Pike Road High School Invites Local Employers to Host Students for National Job Shadow Day on Feb. 2

by Pike Road News

Pike Road High School will participate in National Job Shadow Day for the first time on Monday, February 2, 2026, and is inviting local employers to host students for a real-world career exploration experience.

Pike Road Schools’ Career and Technical Education (CTE) team believes that early, authentic exposure to the workplace is an essential part of a learner’s high school journey. Through job shadowing, students deepen their understanding of careers they’re interested in—and often discover that a field may be different from what they imagined. That clarity helps learners make informed choices about coursework, training, and post-secondary pathways.

To make this initiative successful, Pike Road Schools is seeking employer partners to host students on National Job Shadow Day and to consider additional opportunities throughout the year. Businesses of all sizes and sectors are encouraged to participate, whether they can host one student or several.

Employers can indicate the number of students they are willing to host (from one to five or more) and the career area(s) they represent. The interest form includes a broad range of fields, including:

  • Agriscience
  • Arts, Entertainment, and Design
  • Business/Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Sales
  • Construction
  • Education
  • Government and Public Administration
  • Healthcare
  • Hospitality and Tourism
  • Human Services
  • IT/Computer Science
