What began in a home kitchen has grown into a business redefining how guests gather across the River Region. Olive Meats Wood, founded by Pike Road resident Alicia Dawkins, creates luxury grazing tables and charcuterie displays for weddings, showers, corporate events, and celebrations from Montgomery and Prattville to Wetumpka and Millbrook.

“Hosting has always been a part of who I am,” Dawkins said. “I love creating an atmosphere where people feel relaxed and able to enjoy themselves. It’s never been about impressing anyone—it’s about helping people feel comfortable and cared for when they gather.”

Dawkins said the idea took root as she built grazing boards for friends and family and noticed the effect they had on a room. Guests slowed down, connected and lingered. Turning that experience into a polished service, she launched Olive Meats Wood to offer styled food installations designed to feel abundant, welcoming and easy to enjoy.
“I carefully select every element and place it with intention so the entire display feels inviting,” she said. “Nothing is rushed. Nothing is thrown together.”
Olive Meats Wood provides grazing tables, boards and curated charcuterie boxes tailored to events large and small. The company offers local delivery, customizable tables and show‑stopping presentations that, according to its website, create “unforgettable charcuterie experiences” across Montgomery, Pike Road, Prattville, Millbrook, Wetumpka and the wider River Region.
Dawkins said what sets the business apart is a blend of elegance and hospitality—and her hands‑on approach. “The table is not just a display; it becomes part of the experience,” she said. “I stay until every detail is in place because I want my clients and their guests to feel cared for.” Much of her time goes into sourcing ingredients and prepping for each event, she added, calling it “a labor of love that I pour into every table.”
Clients often report that the grazing table becomes the social center of an event. “Guests gather around it. They take photos. They talk,” Dawkins said. “It creates a moment that feels special without feeling formal.” Brides, she added, frequently tell her the table sets the tone for the entire celebration.

Rooted in Pike Road, the business reflects the town’s emphasis on family, connection and supporting local ventures, Dawkins said. “Pike Road is home,” she noted. “Neighbors know one another. Families gather often. Local businesses support each other. It feels like the kind of town where hosting and gathering are simply part of life, which makes it the perfect place for my business.”
That sense of place shapes the company’s philosophy: elevate the occasion while making everyone feel welcome. “People love the beauty of the table, but they also appreciate the abundance and the care that goes into it,” Dawkins said.
Grateful for the growth that has followed word‑of‑mouth praise, Dawkins said each booking still gets the same attention that sparked the company’s start. “Every event matters to me. Every table is created with care,” she said. “It is an honor to help people celebrate their most meaningful moments, and I don’t take that lightly.”
