Braylon Outlaw’s 48-yard interception return for a touchdown late in the first half sparked the Patriots to a 37-7 win over Bessemer City in the first round of the Class 6A state playoffs at Pike Road on Friday night.
The Patriots (8-3) will travel to Mobile in the second round of the playoffs to face St. Paul’s Episcopal (9-2). Bessemer City ends the season at 6-4.
