The Pike Road Schools recently released a new edition of its Pike Road Recap, featuring various highlights from the school community.
This issue covers a wide a range of engaging activities and learning experiences at Pike Road schools.
Students embarked on a hands-on exploration of soil, using AMSTI kits to examine samples and observe how different components behaved when water was added. This activity helped students understand the diverse materials that make up soil and how they interact based on their properties, fostering a deep appreciation for science in action.
Pike Road Jr. High celebrated students with perfect attendance during ACAP testing with a fun popsicle party, promoting a positive school culture and rewarding dedication to academic achievement. The recap also showcased the exciting Mammal Madness project in Mrs. Reid’s class, where students researched and predicted the ultimate champion in a science-based competition, with the Polar Bear emerging victorious.
Students had the opportunity to explore various career paths related to vehicles, interacting with professionals from different fields to understand how each vehicle facilitates their work.
These diverse activities and events highlighted in PR Recap Vol 2-13 underscore the school’s commitment to hands-on learning, academic success, and student engagement across different areas of study.
