CB&S Bank Pike Road has recently wrapped up two events that are committed to giving back to the local community through impactful initiatives.
Over the past few months, CB&S Bank ran its successful Blanket Drive campaign, encouraging donations of new and gently loved blankets throughout the month of February. The response from the Pike Road community was overwhelming, with a diverse array of blankets being collected. The bank seized the opportunity to distribute these warm donations to Friendship Mission, the River Region’s sole homeless shelter. Friendship Mission is renowned for its commendable service of providing over 40,000 meals annually and shelter to more than 300 individuals each year.
In addition to the Blanket Drive, the team at CB&S Bank Pike Road took part in a rewarding experience by participating in the Dr. Seuss Read Across America Week. During the week-long celebration, which took place from March 2 to March 6, 2025, employees visited classrooms at Pike Road Elementary and Macon East Academy to read to students. This initiative not only fostered a love for reading but also helped in encouraging and inspiring the young minds of Pike Road.
The events organized by CB&S Bank Pike Road exemplify the bank’s dedication to making a positive difference in the community and demonstrate the power of collective action in extending support to those in need. Through the Blanket Drive and the Reading Program, CB&S Bank has successfully brought joy and warmth to many individuals in the Pike Road area.
