Pike Road’s wrestling team showcased their talent and determination at the AHSAA 6A South Super Sectional Tournament, finishing third overall with an impressive 211.5 points. Mountain Brook claimed the top spot with 282 points, followed by Gulf Shore in second place with 256 points.
The individual achievements of Pike Road’s wrestlers shone brightly at the tournament, earning several top finishes:
- Dylan Yarema – Champion in the 115-pound class
- Luke Dickinson – 3rd place in the 128-pound class
- Jack Posey – 3rd place in the 134-pound class
- Myers Duncan – Champion in the 140-pound class
- Mason Hussey – Champion in the 177-pound class
- Cody Kirk – Champion in the 192-pound class
- Ethan Holloway – 4th place in the 217-pound class
These outstanding performances have secured the advancement of these seven Pike Road wrestlers to the upcoming AHSAA 6A State Championships. The State Championships are scheduled to take place from Thursday, February 13th to Saturday, February 15th at the von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
