After earning a degree in Business Management from Auburn University Montgomery, Grib ventured into the finance industry and specialized in portfolio management, asset allocation, and wealth preservation strategies tailored to individual client needs before he felt called back to his hometown’s untapped potential.
Venturing into the unknown, Grib took a leap of faith to transform the vacant John Hall Store into a space that transcends being just a restaurant. The Market at the John Hall Store has become a place of community, entertainment, and savory food, all within a family-friendly environment. Grib’s vision was to create a space where children can safely play while adults enjoy dinner and catch up with friends.
Since Grib opened The Market, it has become known for its vibrant atmosphere, mouth-watering dishes, and warm hospitality. His vision for The Market has captivated locals and visitors alike, from its famous hamburgers to daily lunch specials. In 2023, he expanded his offerings with The Grocery, now located within The Market. The Grocery is a great place to pick up fresh steaks, seafood, wine, and more to cook or enjoy at home. Later this month, he plans to open The Coffee Shop, just down the street from The Market. This new space will provide a welcoming space for various community members, from farmers, teachers, business professionals, and more, to start their day with a cup of coffee and a hearty breakfast.
