Valentine’s Day is approaching, and many veterans in our area may find themselves spending the holiday alone. In an effort to bring smiles to their faces, CB&S Bank Pike Road has teamed up with Macon East Academy.
For the fourth year, CB&S Bank Pike Road and Macon East Academy have collaborated on the Valentine’s Card Design Contest. This contest allows elementary students from Macon East Academy to showcase their creativity by submitting their unique Valentine’s card designs.
This year, a total of 93 students from grades first through fifth at Macon East Academy participated in the contest.
Andrea McCain, Senior Vice President and Senior Community Development Officer at CB&S Bank Pike Road, expressed her delight, stating, “It is wonderful to see the imagination of each student shine through in their card designs.”
McCain further added, “All entries were brimming with love and appreciation, reflecting the Valentine’s Day spirit and gratitude towards veterans at the local Central Alabama Veterans Hospital.
Following the review of the card designs, a team at CB&S Bank Pike Road selected a winning design that will be featured on their 2025 Valentine card, to be distributed to the veterans at the Central Alabama Veterans Hospital.
“The designs were truly inspiring, and it was a joy to witness the enthusiasm of these young artists. We are eager to share it with our veterans very soon,” said McCain.
