Tornadoes and excessive winds caused structural damage and many Montgomery County residents to lose power Sunday.
It is believed two tornadoes touched down in Montgomery County early Sunday morning. Around 100,000 Montgomery County residents lost power due to the storms.
“It kind of felt like the end of the world,” said Montgomery County resident India Richardson. “We were like, we don’t have any power, and you don’t know when they’re going to fix it.”
Richardson was having a Christmas party at her home when the storms began. She says she was without power all night, but thankfully, her power was restored around noon Sunday. Though Richardson’s home didn’t receive substantial damage, several neighbors weren’t as lucky.
