The Pike Road Schools recently released a new edition of its Pike Road Recap, featuring various highlights from the school community.
Hoops for High Achievers: Pike Road High School honored students who achieved qualifying scores on their AP exams. Over the past six years, PRHS has administered nearly 1,300 AP exams, allowing students to earn over 1,000 college credit hours, which has saved Pike Road families almost half a million dollars in tuition costs.
Young Performers Bring Joy to the Stage: Pike Road Elementary School showcased over 200 students in ten theatrical performances. These performances included songs from holiday classics like Elf, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and A Charlie Brown Christmas, as well as popular hits from shows like Wicked and Descendants.
Cosmic Brownie Catastrophe: Students at PRIS engaged in a hands-on math activity where they had to solve problems involving sharing Cosmic Brownies with aliens. This interactive activity allowed students to use paper brownies to understand fractions and solve real-world math problems, making learning fun and engaging.
PRS Students spreading holiday cheer: The Pike Road students spread holiday cheer through musical performances at various events. The PRES Choir and High School Bands participated in holiday celebrations, including the Montgomery Zoo Lights Celebration and the Town’s Christmas Spectacular, sharing their talents with the community and creating a festive atmosphere.
