Construction on the new Merry Corners shopping center in Pike Road is set to start in the beginning of 2025.
Site work on the property at the corner of Pike Road and Vaughn Road started in August 2023 with the roadwork and pipes being the most recent development in the project.
The Trotman Company, who is the developer of the project, said in addition to the already announced McDonald’s, River Bank & Trust and Baptist Health, the shopping destination will include more restaurants, a coffee shop and possibly a sports bar.
